INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Senate has passed Senate Bill (SB) 468, authored by State Senator David Niezgodski (D-South Bend), with a vote of 49-0. The bill allows for the establishment of the Midwest Continental Divide Commission.

“Economic development is key to driving business growth, tourism and job creation,” said Niezgodski. “This bill paves the way for a recreational ecotourism trail system, which will not only attract visitors but also promote outdoor recreation and healthier lifestyles. I’m thrilled to see this initiative move forward and excited for the opportunities it will bring to our community.”

SB 468 now moves to the Indiana House of Representatives for further consideration.
