INDIANAPOLIS—On Tuesday, Senate Bill 1 passed out of the Rules and Legislative Procedure Committee with a vote of 7-5. Rules Committee member, State Senator Tim Lanane (D-Anderson) offered this response:

“This awful bill shouldn’t have been heard, let alone advanced to the next stage of the legislative process. The Republican majority needs to take its nose out of women’s business and do what it was actually called to do, which is to help Hoosiers struggling with inflation and rising costs.”
