INDIANAPOLIS—Following the announcement of the Chicago Bears’ commitment to finishing the necessary steps to move to Indiana, State Senators David Niezgodski (D-South Bend), Rodney Pol Jr. (D-Chesterton), Mark Spencer (D-Gary), and Lonnie Randolph (D-East Chicago) released the following statement:
“We are incredibly honored and excited for the move of the Chicago Bears. This move signifies that Indiana is the place to be.
“We are extremely thrilled that our region of the State is getting the recognition it deserves as an economic driver of Indiana.
“While this bill continues to move through the process, we will continue to advocate for the Hoosier taxpayer to benefit and for their interests to remain at the forefront.
“We are enthusiastic about the numerous benefits this move will have for Northwest Indiana, generating opportunity and economic growth.”
