Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Indiana’s Primary Election (originally scheduled for May 5th) has been delayed to June 2nd. All voters will be allowed to vote by mail, but you must request an absentee ballot to do so. Additionally, the voter registration deadline has been extended to May 4th to be eligible to vote in the Primary Election.

THREE IMPORTANT DATES RELATED TO THE PRIMARY

  • Monday, May 4, 2020: Voter registration ends
  • Thursday, May 21, 2020: Deadline to apply for an absentee ballot to vote by mail
  • Tuesday, June 2, 2020: Primary Election Day

VOTING BY MAIL (ABSENTEE)

  • To vote by mail in the 2020 Indiana Primary Election, a registered voter must obtain, complete and submit a request with this form.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE IN INDIANA IF

  • You are both a U.S. citizen and a resident of Indiana; and
  • You will be at least 18 years of age on or before the next General or Municipal Election; and
  • You are not currently in prison after being convicted of a felony; and
  • You have lived in the precinct where you vote for at least 30 days prior to the election; and
  • You are registered to vote.
