Yesterday, I had the privilege of meeting three incredible groups at the Statehouse: dedicated teachers from Warren Township and education advocates from KIPP Indy, as well as compassionate doctors and nurses from IU.👩‍🏫 Teachers and education advocates play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of Hoosiers. Listening to their insights and concerns is crucial as we work to ensure that every student has access to a high-quality education. I’m committed to supporting our educators so they can continue making a lasting impact.🩺 Doctors and nurses provide life-saving care both in times of crisis and through preventive health measures. Their dedication to keeping Hoosiers healthy deserves our deepest gratitude and continued support.Thank you to these professionals for your hard work and advocacy. I look forward to working together to build a brighter future for Indiana! #INForAll ... See MoreSee Less

Today, I honored the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Indianapolis Chapter, an organization I have had the privilege of being a member of since 2016, with Senate Concurrent Resolution 4. Their work for building a brighter future for black women and promoting their mental and physical well-being. As a member of the Indianapolis Chapter since 2016, I was happy to meet with wonderful coalition members today to discuss ongoing efforts to combat socio-economic inequalities in future legislation. Thank you for making your voice heard and to all members of the Senate for signing onto this resolution! #INForAll ... See MoreSee Less

Happy first week of Women's History Month! This month we honor all women's contributions to history, culture and society and reminded of our diverse roles, from mothers to CEOs, in just how far we have come as a society to recognize everything women are and can be. #INForAll

I asked, and District 34 answered. Thank you to all of my constituents who responded with their questions, comments and concerns for this session. Here are the results from our pre-session survey and with your continued involvement, I will continue to listen and act. #INForAll

This week ended the first half of session. On top of speaking against SB 518, I also spoke on the Indiana Lawmakers Panel, introduced the Devington Town Hall Meeting, and wore my African Garb to the Statehouse! #INForAll
