On Friday, I joined the United Steelworks in their protest against the unfair negotiation practices of Safety-Kleen. I will always stand with the unions who fight against any company that exploit their workers without fair compensation, benefits, or working conditions. United Steelworkers is one of the strongest unions, and through their advocacy, they've been able to grant steelworkers fair contracts, safety, and job security. Workers should always be represented and supported! Union str#INForAllorAll
Attention Hoosiers! Starting on Monday, March 31, there will be overnight lane closures on I-94 between U.S. 421 and U.S. 20/35. Construction work this year will include concrete patching along this stretch on I-94 and a bridge deck overlay on I-94. During this work, I-94 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction, traffic being shifted to the left with the work zone on the right during phase one. Be safe, slow down and plan ahead for traffic!
Today, in the Appropriations Committee, we heard testimony on House Bill 1253, a critical measure to improve child care access in Indiana. Since joining the legislature, addressing the child care crisis has been one of my top priorities.![]()
In 2024, I introduced SB 292 to tackle child care issues and also supported SB 2. HB 1253 takes an important step forward by streamlining processes for child care providers, making it easier for them to expand services and meet the growing needs of Hoosier families. I am proud to support this bill because no parent should have to choose between their job and securing quality, affordable child care.![]()
