It was good to hear Governor Holcomb address our Hoosier state this evening. As a fellow Hoosier, I want to be certain our state is focusing on the people who are struggling right now. I am keenly aware of how this economic downturn has put many small businesses on the brink of collapse. I see it every day, and providing aid to these businesses is essential.

Workers all across the state are hurting. Some are working long hours, in unsafe conditions, with low pay and little to no paid leave. Some have lost their jobs and are facing mortgage and rent payments that are past due that they cannot afford. These are the folks we need to make sure we are getting aid to right now. Our state saved money in reserves to help Hoosiers in times of trouble. We have to be able to use all available resources so that we can help those that need it most during this pandemic.
