INDIANAPOLIS—Following the Indianapolis caucus vote, Minority Leader Greg Taylor (D-Indianapolis) releases the following statement congratulating Senator-Elect La Keisha Jackson (D-Indianapolis) as she joins the Senate Democratic Caucus:

“I am excited to announce the newest member of our caucus, Senator-Elect La Keisha Jackson. She will bring expertise and dedication and will strengthen our caucus as we work tirelessly to represent the voices of all Hoosiers. Senator-Elect Jackson’s leadership on the City County Council and as Chair of the Council’s Municipal Corporations Committee will be invaluable assets as we tackle the complex challenges facing our state. State Senator-Elect La Keisha Jackson (D-Indianapolis) will be sworn in as state senator for Indiana Senate District 34 on April 24th at 1:00 p.m. in the Senate Chamber at the Statehouse.
