This weekend I stood shoulder to shoulder with Hoosiers who refuse to accept fear in place of freedom, cruelty in place of care or unchecked power in place of democracy. At more than 30 rallies across our state of Indiana, I saw the true power of community where thousands showed up—the people who don’t just talk about justice but live it, demand it and make it real. That’s the kind of leadership we need more of. Not crowns and commands but courage and compassion. I don’t just support the people I serve—I show up. I listen. I march. I believe that elected office is about standing with those who feel unheard, unsafe or unseen—and refusing to back down when our rights are on the line. Because here in Indiana we believe in liberty—not loyalty to power. We believe in people—not politics of control. And we’re not going anywhere. #INForAll #NoKings #DemocracyInAction ... Every year on Gun Violence Awareness Day, I remember why I joined the movement to wear orange years ago.I wore orange for the end of school violence—because no child should fear going to class, no teacher should be forced to become a first responder, and no family should lose a loved one to preventable tragedy. Gun violence isn’t just a policy issue. It’s a public health crisis. And we owe it to our communities—especially our kids—to treat it like one.#WearOrange #EndGunViolence #SafeSchools #INForAll ... This moment has been decades in the making. The expansion of our convention center is more than a local project—it will help us tell the story of who we are. A community with a rich history, a bold vision and a story worth telling. For years, leaders, advocates and residents have worked to make this happen. Now, we’re one step closer to welcoming more people, more ideas and more opportunities into the heart of Monroe County. This is one way to show the world who we are—and why we invite all to come be part of it. Thanks to Kaytee Lorentzen for the great photo!#INForAll #MonroeCounty #ConventionCenter #DecadesInTheMaking #CommunityForward ... See MoreSee Less

Grateful to join the Ellettsville Chamber of Commerce for a powerful conversation with local leaders and business owners. These aren’t just recap events—they’re a chance to connect policy with real lives. We talked about what passed, what stalled, and what still needs to change. From education to public health to economic fairness, the 2025 session made one thing clear: when communities speak up, legislators listen. Thanks to everyone who showed up early, asked thoughtful questions, and reminded me who I’m fighting for. Let’s keep raising the bar—together.#INForAll #Ellettsville #StatehouseToMainStreet ... See MoreSee Less

Proud to help sign HB 1221 into law—a win for the teachers, public employees and first responders who gave everything to Indiana.

They showed up for us. This law shows up for them.
    This isn’t just policy—it’s a promise kept.

HB 1167 is now law—a step forward for harm reduction and public safety in Indiana. It makes drug testing strips legal, helping detect deadly substances like fentanyl and prevent overdoses. This saves lives and keeps Hoosiers safe—at home, work and school. #INForAll #HarmReduction
