🚨 Two Major Bill Signings 🚨🧬 HB 1521 was the House version of my bill, SB 33, which puts guardrails and guidelines in place for how your genetic privacy is handled. After working on this language for two years, we finally passed it with bipartisan support. 👷I was also proud to sponsor Rep. Carey Hamilton’s HB 1289. The weight of being honored with an award bearing the name of Rep. Bill Cawford is not lost on me.

Rep. Crawford served District 98 in our Statehouse for 40 years, to my knowledge, the longest tenure for a Black state legislator in our country's history.
