INDIANAPOLIS – On Wednesday, Governor Eric Holcomb officially signed Senate Enrolled Act (SEA) 139 into law. SEA 139, authored by Senate Democratic Leader Tim Lanane (D-Anderson), would streamline the volunteer advocate program for seniors and incapacitated adults program into a more efficient service. Sen. Lanane celebrated SEA 139’s passage into law with the following statement:
“I’m happy to see Indiana taking better care of its aging population,” Sen. Lanane said. “The number of Hoosiers in need of these sorts of advocate programs is growing every year. I want to thank Rebecca Pryor of WINGS Indiana Adult Guardianship for her help with this legislation. Today, Indiana took a step in an important direction to ensure Hoosiers are adequately protected, no matter their age or physical abilities. “
