🚨 This didn’t have to happen.![]()
Months ago, I filed Senate Bill 135 because I saw the warning signs:![]()
Unchecked data center growth.
Skyrocketing electricity and water usage.
Secret deals that shut the public out.![]()
My bill would have:![]()
Forced data centers to publicly report how much energy they’re draining — and where it’s coming from![]()
Required communities to assess the damage before permits were handed out![]()
Projected future energy needs so Hoosiers weren’t left footing the bill![]()
Instead?
State leadership never even gave it a hearing.
They chose silence.
And now the consequences are here.![]()
📈 Electricity demands from just a handful of data centers will soon outpace every Hoosier home combined.![]()
💧 Millions of gallons of water are being consumed — with no transparency on where it’s coming from or what it costs.![]()
⚡ Coal plants are staying open longer — not because it’s good policy, but because corporations demand it.![]()
🏘️ And working families? We're the ones stuck with higher bills, strained resources, and broken promises.![]()
Indiana is being reshaped behind closed doors — and Hoosiers are being treated like an afterthought.
That's not leadership. That's negligence.![]()
I’ll keep sounding the alarm because our communities deserve better:![]()
✅ Real transparency
✅ Real planning
✅ Real respect for the people footing the bill![]()
We can’t let short-sighted deals today destroy the Indiana our kids inherit tomorrow.![]()

Last night’s Legislative Town Hall was democracy in action — open, honest and powered by the people.
Grateful to everyone who showed up with questions, concerns and ideas. Reps. Renee Pack, Cherrish Pryor and I covered what went down this session and listened to what’s keeping our communities up at night — from education and housing to health care and economic opportunity.![]()
Your voices matter. And your advocacy fuels our work at the Statehouse.
Let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep speaking out. Let’s keep building a better Indiana — together. 💪🏽![]()

This isn’t just a missed deadline — it’s a missed opportunity to support 670,000 Hoosier kids. We need real solutions, not more setbacks.
This morning, I was the guest speaker at Kiwanis Club of Northwest Indianapolis, my home club. It was announced that back in 2013 is when my first meeting was as a member. Definitely need to get back more. Such a wonderful group of folks doing amazing things in our community.![]()
This morning’s topic was a little bit about the legislative session and answering questions from the members.
For National Bike and Roll to School Day, I had the pleasure of attending this morning of some Robey students, staff and their parents. We met at Clermont Lions Club Park and biked (or strolled) to Robey Elementary.![]()
It was really awesome to see folks coming out and supporting this event.![]()
S/O yo Sam for organizing this great event!![]()
